Refresh your Senses - Mindfulness Activity

WALT: Reflect on our personal favourite five senses and think about how they impact our daily lives.

you enjoy and how your senses may help guide you to peace in a time of difficulty.

My favourite sight is my family having fun in the summer. 

Because it makes me feel happy seeing the having fun together it helps me concentrate easily. 

I can use this to help me everyday by thinking about it. 

My favourite sound is hearing the waves 

Because helps me sleep get ready for the next day.

I can use this to help me everyday by thinking concentrate.

My favourite smell is smelling my grandma's cooking.

Because it makes me feel hungry. 

I can use this to help me everyday by just thinking about it.

My favourite taste is my grandma’s cooking.

Because it is super delicious.

I can use this to help me everyday by being good to eat food.

My favourite touch is smooth like a smooth rock. 

Because it feels so nice, I want to put my head on it.

I can use this to help me everyday when going to sleep just think my pillow is smooth. 

My thoughts can be helpful by doing complicated work, it helps remind you how to do something write
something. 

My thoughts can be distracting by complicated work, it makes me think about different stuff when it
is not related to my learning. 

Mindfulness has taught me (What has doing our mindfulness taught you about your thoughts?) It can
be helpful but also a distraction. 

Half life

When you die there are two places you go. You go to a beautiful land or a hell hole.
There are could half life because there are two places but one you. They decide you don’t
  So you better be kind good respectfully or else you don’t want to go to that hell hole, or do
you want to suffer for eternity or live happily for eternity you decide the is your only chance
chose now.

The magic

One day there was a poor family with  two sons and their parents. One day the father went out looking for a job but found a humongous tree.  Then the tree to spoke the man and said you have 6 wishes the tree said there are rules you can’t wish for more wish or bring back the dead or make people fall in love. So he thought and asked for two times of everything he wishes to have  he asked for a big bag of money. Next he asked for his son to be very smart and lucky all the time. And his wife to have a good job. He asked the tree what do you want and then the tree told him a story of a curse that he had been turned into a  tree away from his family. The man felt sad for him and asked for my final wish for you to become a human and go back to your family.

The music concert

Today we are “having music concert in the hall”. 

We haven’t done this in five,  but we can finally do it now all thanks to miss Crater, 

first up was The oldest class  “room 7”. They had amazing like guitars, they held they
with a tight grip trying not mess up, The people doing the xylophone were carefully waiting.
There were two types of xylophone wood and metal they were both separated to different
corners. When the music started it was amazing seeing people only practising once a week
but doing so well I was astonished. Right after they started to do guitars ukuleles it so
amazing I thought they were pro's right after that.

Next up was “ROOM 3” they started off very nicely but right after that it started to
sound like horror music I started to feel a little bit cold, but their music sounded was
good they made it sound smooth after a while. It probably took a long time to learn their
music but they managed to do it. The drummers were smashing the drums with no mercy
trying to make it sound as loud as they can make it.  Right after they had a little drumming
group go and play and wow they were amazing they played so well they made sure they did
it correct and 

right.  

Next up was “Room 4” They were going to twinkle little star by using the instruments they
did so well for there age they tried so hard not to mess up but do their best everybody
could hear all the different parts, we all sang to it very gently I loved how hard they tried
to succeed it was so nice to see them doing so well you don’t really get this from other
schools, but here you get it all the time. When see them made me think about what else
could they do at this age.

Right after their performance everybody clapped a lot everybody said that was very
amazingly good.   

Next up was “Room 5” yes but we were kind of nervous, but if they can do it so can we, 
when we got up their we were mostly shy but we didn’t care that much, 

because we have been practising hard for the concert so we got this we started off very
nice, we kept on going then it went so well we did a few mistakes but it didn’t matter but
when it came to Tupua he made one mistake but he kept going that's what a true  musician
could do then we sang bad hair day it was so hilarious because we did so many funny moves. 

Next up was Room 1 they made up a song they tried their best but that's all that matter
they sang the played they tried the sang very nicely very calmly and not silly it was so
adorable then room 7 and Tupua and Francis went up they sang you are my sunshine  it was
so nice then we sang one finally song and finished

Persuasive writing part three why home work shouldn't be banned

I believe all homework  shouldn’t be banned Because when you need to get work up to date after
school you can’t because you do not have your netbook with you to keep up to date.

Homework helps you learn faster with other people at your house to help you with what to do and
you might learn it before the whole class does. You couldn’t take your netbook home if you didn't
have homework.

Homework shouldn’t be banned because it helps understanding complex work, you get support at
home to help with what you don’t understand and what you do not know what to do, it is proven
sometimes kids would ask their parents what this means because parents have done this they
would put it in a way that kids would understand. 

Homework helps keep your work up to date if you were slacking at school and playing at school and
not  doing what you need to do. It would keep you from getting a hiding from your parents when
you get home from school. Because helps you understand work and helps you move up from a level
at reading writing maths. Plus you get some time to get updated with work and you get to improve
without staying in lunch morning tea and after school.

 Try to not just make up an excuse. when you have homework  you get a second chance of finishing
that work without getting a red dot on your head. 

You won’t be able to bring your netbook home if don’t have homework your parents ,could lose their
job just because you don’t have a netbook  your parents would get stressed out there are for your
parents would be in a bad mood and your going to get told off more than usual. You won’t

Get time to spend with them .

so your parents who need to use  your netbook for work. Because you didn’t bring your netbook.It’s
common in a family that parents use their children devices for work and to keep electricity bills
low. So your parents can do their work and you can watch TV win win.

Homework is important because without home work we couldn’t improve we couldn’t do a lot of
things like spending time with our parents watch tv, your parents could be  in a good mood, you not
getting a hiding, you couldn't get free time, your parents not being proud of you just because you
didn’t do
your work.
