100 word challenge

It was Saturday and everything was closed because it was a memorial day for the soldiers of New Zealand. To honour them we sat in  silence. Shops were not open for a few hours. Every shop, mall, fast food place, super markets and schools were not open.I just realised that a few years ago. You become quite at 12. O'clock and stay quiet until 2 hours, which is an amazingly long time to not talk but people wanted to respect the soldiers and how they gave their lives for this cause, this is what they could give back to them and their families.
